PixelViewer is a proprietary software based on an open-source project of Carina Studio. The PixelViewer mentioned after includes ONLY the executable files or zipped files which are exact same as the files provided by the following pages: This Privacy Policy will apply to PixelViewer 2026.0 and any future versions until the version specified in the next Privacy Policy update.

Collecting Your Personal Data

We DON'T collect the following personal data:
  • Name.
  • Phone number.
  • Email address.
  • Geographical location.
We DO collect the following data which may relate to your personal data:
  • File Path/Name you open in PixelViewer or save in PixelViewer.
  • Application crash details.
  • Your IP address, OS platform, and CPU architecture may be shared with GitHub when PixelViewer checks for updates. Please refer to GitHub's Privacy Statement for how this data is handled by GitHub.
  • Usage data including anonymous session identifiers, feature interaction events (e.g. applying rendering parameters, applying filtering parameters, applying color adjustment, saving rendered image, frame navigation), and image processing metrics (e.g. dimensions of rendered/filtered image, duration of rendering/filtering) when using PixelViewer.

Storing Your Personal Data

  • File Path/Name may be written to the log file inside the PixelViewer directory in your computer.
  • Application crash details will be written to the log file inside the PixelViewer directory in your computer.
  • Usage data will be stored on Azure.

Using Your Personal Data

  • Usage data to understand how PixelViewer features are used and to improve the application.
  • Other information will be used for debugging purposes (e.g., application crashes). You can check these data before sending to us, or you can also reject to send these data.
Except when required by a government authority, we WON'T provide your personal data to people, organizations, or companies outside of Carina Studio.
